I am going through a tough custody battle with my ex and since she's such a wonderful person, the only time I am being allowed to celebrate Christmas with my daughters is an hour at the Mall in Columbia the day after Christmas. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to realize that the Mall isn't an ideal location for ANYTHING the day after Christmas. But the idea of going there on one of the busiest days of the year, to meet your 3 and 6 year old daughters to celebrate and open up more than 20 gifts is nothing short of a nightmare. Thankfully, I came up with the idea of trying to find a restaurant that would be willing to reserve a small area in a back corner where we could sit down, open gifts, and enjoy ourselves for a bit. After a few unsuccessful requests to other restaurants, I finally called The Cheesecake Factory and spoke to one of their Managers named Zach (or Zack? I'll refer to him as Z from now on so I don't spell his name wrong haha), and without hesitation he agreed to reserve a place for us. As luck would have it, Z was also scheduled to be the opening manager that day, and made sure I knew to come directly to him if I ran into any issues. Now, if anyone has ever been to Cheesecake Factory, they are pretty strict about their reservation policy. I even called two other CF locations to see if they'd agree to it, and they both said no. Z probably has no idea how much this means to me, or how much better he's making my daughters Christmas, but it's hard to explain how truly grateful I am to find someone that cares more about doing the right thing instead of going by "policy" and saying no because it's the easier answer. I figured the least I could do is write some reviews to say thank you. So thank you Z! Please know how much your willingness to help a stranger with a weird situation means to me. You just gave me the best Christmas gift I could ever receive! We'll see you on Wednesday!
I frequent this restaurant on a regular basis. The staff is personable. The managers are responsive. The food is great.
Went with my wife to a work lunch here last week and the salmon came out half raw (not by order). Service took a long time during a relatively slow part of the day. It was a good reminder not to come back.
good food. service sucks, i’m 18 and the waitress handed me a kids cup. never coming back. i will get my cheesecake somewhere better where they don’t assume my age. screw cheesecake factory.
Prices are high, parking is horrible, and the inside feels like it is at 130% capacity on weekends and evenings. A two person table is literally elbow distance from the next two person table. Just enough room for the server to THINK they can lean between tables, but still manage to move your plates and drinks with their butt.
Came in with a party of 13. They said it would be a minimum 2.5 hour wait. They said if we split the party in half (basically) that we could be seated in an hour... oookaaay. So we go ahead and split the party in 2. We all got seated at the same exact time, but for some reason our food, which was basically burgers, arrived just when the other half of our party was finishing up their meals. Waitress took forever to bring anything or ask if we even needed anything. Just a horrible experience and it's sad because I've always had good experiences with CF. This is by far the worst location I've been to. The one in Woodbridge is so far the best one.
