Dr. Soudan and staff are very good. The problem is their corporate systems. They have tried to stream line things so much they are applying the same policies/operations to all their centers which does not work. I was told to show up 30 minutes early for an 8:45 am appointment. They dont open until 8:30 am..duhhhhh. Also, trying to get past their call center which is horrible is like government bureaucracy. I have been trying to get a prior auth for medication for over a week now and I went to a pain center to help speed up all the BS the health care companies put in place not slow it down more. They are very slow to respond to urgent needs. Anyone with back pain knows going a week without medication is critical. They were asked to respond to an urgent request several times for a pre-auth...nothing. I will call again tomorrow.
Dr. Soudan and the staff are wonderful. The wait time, however, sucks. They tell you to arrive a half hour before your appointment time, or you're considered late. For example, if your appointment is at 1:00pm, they will tell you to arrive at 12:30pm. If you arrive at 12:45, you're late. EVEN THOUGH they run late!! I arrived a half hour early to my appointment and wasn't seen until a half hour after my appointment. So I waited for an hour. I understand they want you to be early so it doesn't back the doctors up, but if they're going to have you come that early, there should be no reason for that long of a wait.
Dr. Soudan is one of the best doctors I have had the pleasure of working with; he is kind, caring and works to help you, all without judgement or dismissal.I can't thank him or his staff enough for all they have done for me over the past few months.
Truly a world class pain clinic. My wife and i just moved here from Colorado and this is our 3rd pain clinic. The clinic is run like an Emergency room so the bed side manor can get lost: however, i didn't come here to get Johnson & Johnson's sprinkled on my bottom. I came here to get relief. The only other group of medical professionals i have seen that are the best of the best is my Neuro Surgeons team. This team at Spine & Pain is top of the class and best of the best. They accomplished more in diagnosis and treatment in 2 visits than our last team did in 2 years. They have blessed us and restored hope in our life at a time when we needed it. We thought that we just had to keep suffering on down the road with that is as good as it gets. Our last clinic was giving me shots for something this clinic took care of with a pill. I am not saying that you will not get shots, however its debatable if my last clinic was just padding their paycheck with my pain.Or they were the worst of the worst. And they were since this clinics treatment involved less pain for me and far beter relief...
Started out really good and was excited to get a procedure done that should last for a year. I have been living with constant pain for 10 years in my Thoracic Spine. I got a test procedure done to see if it will help and I felt 100% better and got really excite. I schedule the procedure (Radiofrequency Ablation), and got an appointment two weeks later. The Friday before the procedure which was on a Monday i get a call asking if I can reschedule because something came up with the Dr. I was disappointed because I was really looking forward to getting pain relief but rescheduled for the next week. I show up for the appointment 45mins early because I just want to get this done and feel better and 20mins after my scheduled procedure the nurse says they tested the needles and they didn't come back clean so I will have to reschedule because they cant guarantee they aren't contaminated. Why are they just now testing 10mins before my procedure? When you have chronic pain this news made me want to break down and just give up. Looking for another Dr. now.
