I cannot say enough good things about these people. First off, they offer holistic treatment, that is, they adapt the therapy to the patient's condition and his, or her, lifestyle, and don't simply treat a condition. They educate their patients about their condition and about the treatments being used, and, where appropriate, provide take home illustrated instructions to allow the patient to perform exercises at home.
In the course of my treatment, the therapist detected a mis-alignment in my lower spine and communicated her findings to my doctor. This led to some additional therapy and to instructions to me regarding what kinds of activities I should avoid.
My daughter, my wife, and I have all undergone PT at the Pivot location on Beaverkill Rd in Columbia. All three of us "graduated," and in much better condition than we arrived. Our daughter had her hip rebuilt last September, so her PT was probably the most challenging of all.
Their ethical standards are very high. Our PT was done when the therapist performed an evaluation and determined that she had done all that she could. They clearly provide therapy to the patient, not to the patient's wallet!
I have been to many physical therapists in my life. None of them compare to Ashley. She was able to understand my actual issues and create plans that actually worked! They have a pool available which is important for less weight bearing exercises. The room may be smaller than other locations, but don't let that full you. They are able to do everything that the other physical therapy places did for me. I highly recommend this location.
