After changing tables/burners and eating our main course, our waitress came back and started clearing plates before everyone was finished eating. We felt extremely rushed. When my husband and I finished our meals and she came back to clear our plates, she asked us to stack our plates ourselves. When we didn't, and just pushed them closer to the edge of the table. She stacked them and said something to the effect of "this is what I meant when I said you can stack your plates for me." What?! I have never been to a restaurant where the waitress told you to stack your plates for them. This is a very expensive restaurant and is supposed to be "upscale" however the service certainly did not match.

The whole service from start to finish was a joke. It was quite embarrassing as we had brought my parents here for a special occasion and talked up the restaurant. Even the service from the manager was not good or professional. Our waitress was nice, but just did not seem to be trained effectively.

Can not recommend how do they stay open.

Me and my wife eat hear once every other month and it is Outstanding! Great Food the owner and her husband I belive her name is Dana outstanding people super nice they always come by greet every table. Food is amazing as always. Sign up for there emails they are always having Great Promotions!

Went to Columbia Melting Pot last night . Poor service fair to mediocre food. Overpriced value.

One of the attitude having hostesses finally sat us. Our waitress immediately asked for our cheese and salad order. We had not even had a chance to look over the menus yet! We told her we would probably need a few minutes to look over the menu choices and she said there weren't that many choices to pick from, and stood there while we frantically looked over the menu trying to make a quick decision on our cheese and salad. Keep in mind, this was my parents' first time here.

We were not comfortable cooking RAW meat over a burner that did not seem to be working. The manager agreed to let us substitute dessert for cheese and WE had to ask to be moved to another table with a different burner. We changed booths, our salads came, and the unfriendly hostess (not waitress) came over to refill our waters. She refilled our waters with extreme attitude and slammed our glasses on the table.

She came back with our cheese fondue and began putting it together. I'm not sure if the burner was working properly or if the fondue set had long enough on the burner to heat up, but the cheese mixture simply would not melt! We dipped a veggie and the cheese mixture was cold. The manager came and forcefully stirred our cheese mixture. The cheese was melting and stretching, but after the manager telling us we were ready to dig in, the cheese was still cold! At least 20-30 minutes had already gone by since the cheese fondue had been started. He went and got a digital thermometer and check the cheese by pointing the gun-like thermometer at the cheese. He said "it's 127 degrees, how hot do you want it?!" Well obviously the temperature is going to read at a high setting when you're pointing it at a burner and a metal fondue container. The metal dish was hot, but the cheese was not. We SUBMERGED our hands and fingers in the cheese and pulled it out of the bowl- it was not 127 degrees, let alone hot.

This was my first time at The Melting Pot, a group of us went for Ladies Night. Our reservation was for 8:30p, we were sat shortly after. You would think a fixed menu would move things along, that is false. We sat for about 10 minutes before our server greeted us, we ordered drinks and waited another 10-15 minutes for those. Between each meal and table visit we experienced a wait time anywhere between 10 to even 20 minutes. At one point our server just stopped coming to our table. The owner/manager did come over and ask how everything was, once we told her how long it was taking she got things moving quick, she was very pleasant from the start. But we did not get out of there until almost 11:00pm. I'm not sure how long this whole meal usually takes but I feel 2.5 hours is WAY too long. The food was okay, but nothing that really blew my socks off. Can't say I'd go back to any location.

The manager came to get our groupon voucher number right after our dessert was brought. We had not even received our check yet. Our waitress then came and brought us our check before we were even done eating our dessert! She came back twice and asked if our check was ready for her - it wasn't- we were TRYING to enjoy our dessert.

Our waitress was great. Melanie was on her last training shift and she did wonderful! Now if I could say that much for the owner, who was incredibly rude! It was so disappointing, especially after having a genuinely nice waitress. Long story short, the owner came by the table to see how our meal was and asked a specific question. The couple my husband and I were sharing the meal with started to respond to the question and the owner so rudely interrupted my friend and said, "I don't really care." We were so taken back by this comment, I seriously thought it was a horrible attempt at dry humor. No laugh or smile followed so we, unfortunately, knew this man was being serious. From that point on throughout the night, our encounters with the owner got progressively worse and awkward and for that reason, I will never be back to this location!

The service from start to finish was terrible. This was my 3rd time at the Melting Pot and the two times before were great. My husband and I enjoyed our previous experiences so we decided to bring my parents, as they had never been to the Melting Pot before. The service was so bad that I was actually embarrassed to have brought my parents here. My parents arrived first. The two hostesses were very rude and unprofessional - they refused to seat my parents until my husband and I arrived even though there were a ton of open tables. My parents sat in the lobby for about 13 minutes before we arrived and listened to the two hostesses talk and laugh inappropriately and unprofessionally right in front of them even though there were plenty of open tables that they could have been relaxing and perusing the menu.
