I was sent here after 4x suicide attempts abd severe cutting and i got salmanella from the food but the rooms wer nice and some of the staff are quite rude but most are very nice it is based off of a point system in there but its still a mental hospital
Too hard to get appointments which would be convenient for you, especially before you run out of medications, docs are overwhelmed and insensitive to your needs, and the turnover rate with doctors, receptionists and even nurses is atrocious, making establishing a positive connection nearly impossible.
Good luck getting treatment here. You'll be greeted with a wonderful receptionist staff who will not end personal conversations to check you in. If they can't find you in their "system", without a doubt, YOU'RE stupid and don't know what your doing. Once they check again and you're in the computer, it's always "someone else's fault". On a quiet day, if you listen closely, you can hear almost all members of staff openly complain about their jobs and/or co workers loudly, which is nice to hear. Because most likely if you are at this establishment, you are in desperate need of help. If you are down and out and need help in your life, understand that you are not alone and you do deserve help. Just understand that there are other options out there and you should do the research into the people that are going to help you. Protect yourself from people who are just there to collect a check versus people who honestly want to help. Remember that Sheppard Pratt does a lot of government sub contracting and depends on these sub out jobs, so if don't want your mental health treated the same way you are treated at the DMV, find a place that will want to help. Not want to cash in.
