Not very impressed with the Columbia branch. I think Nurse Practitioner Asom is very good, and she is the reason I have put 2 stars instead of 1. The overall branch is just not run very efficiently. I had to wait about 2 months to be seen, which was a little frustrating, but I didn't think too much of it at the time. When I came in for my appointment (I was a new patient, so I got there 15 minutes early), I ended up waiting over an hour to be taken back into an exam room. I made a joke to the tech taking me back, saying "I must have had the wrong appointment time" and she didn't react at all to it. Probably because she had heard complaints before. The waiting room was relatively empty, too.....I have no idea why the wait to be seen was so long. I tried to come back today to get my lab work done, which needed to be after fasting. After waiting in a crowded waiting room for about 15-20 minutes, a lab tech walks through the waiting room and says loudly "For those of you waiting to have blood work done I'll be back shortly. I'm the only one." She was gone for about 10-15 minutes and then returned, taking a patient back with her to draw labs. This is when I realized how many people were in front of me, based off of my ticket number. I waited for another 15 minutes or so and neither the patient she had taken back, nor the tech herself had re-appeared from the back room. If it was going to take 15 minutes or more to draw each person's blood, I would have been waiting for another hour +. I returned my number to the front desk asking if they usually only had one tech working on drawing labs. The answer was yes, but I was told the wait wasn't usually this long. I decided to leave, because I had not eaten breakfast and was already really hungry.
Currently have been waiting almost two hours for the doctor to come in. It is going to be impossible to have a good experience with a doctor who has no regard for a patient's time.
I came from a doctor's office in Indiana that was adjacent to their lab and NEVER had to wait like this, for either my appointment or for labs. There were also typically 2-4 techs drawing blood, not just one in a busy office. Not sure if this is what I should expect from busy Columbia, MD or not. I'm overall not very impressed, and I don't think I'm going to even bother to get my labs drawn.
Amazing and respectful care for queer and trans people. Everyone is kind and will use your chosen name and pronouns without question. The front desk staff are awesome, and many people are fluent in Spanish, which makes things easier for ESL patients. They have a ton of services, and they work with low income patients, no problem. They are super busy, so you have to be on the ball to follow up with things, but otherwise, no complaints at all.
Such a irresponsible people are they I have been waiting for last two month for seeing my doctor but the doctor doesn't have time for me or for any other patients and also they cancelled my appointment 3 time and still saying that you want to schedule it for future what kind of service is that...
The facility isn't that great but a doctor I would recommend is Docter Pine really seems like she cares about her patience.
