I'd never have guessed that people would pay $4.99 for an 8oz container of standard blueberries, or $5.99 for a small packet of store-brand cauliflower florets. Apparently here they do. Outrageously high prices on a large portion of the items at this grocery store. Though the shop is clean and well-lit and orderly and staff are kind and the fresh bread is good.
Funny tidbit: the building was designed by Frank Gehry in 1969/70, as the HQ for the founder of the city of Columbia's, Jim Rouse, architectural firm.
I've been to the Whole Foods in Baltimore and Washington DC and have had a generally good experience, but this location has solidified in my mind as the Walmart of health food stores. Our household has put up with a fair share of moldy bread, hummus that has turned and sprouts that are better suited for a compost pile than a human being. (Just to name a few) TAKE YOUR HARD EARNED MONEY TO MOM'S ORGANIC MARKET IN JESSUP! You will NOT be disappointed there. I highly endorse ANY Mom's location!
Customer Service needs to be addressed more!! I'm very huge on Customer Service and being friendly. Each individual should be treated in a unique welcoming spirit! Whole Foods not only are supposed to be very efficient and known for there wonderful services. I was not impressed.
Been going here since March ‘17. Except for the pizza oven easily the worst WF I have ever been. And I have been in many. The rating is mostly due to the produce dept. Why oh why, do you mix organic and non-organic next to each other. In addition, quality is just bad. Never been in a WF where the selection is empty but for old, decaying sad looking items. Unacceptable! Shopping elsewhere, now.
Good selection of organic produce and food. Staff is friendly. Parking lot is almost alway packed and at times a challenge to navigate. Go early morning for the best shopping experience.
