Pretty expensive for folks like me, but the sales are fantastic! The store is always clean and organized. It's a nice place, but there is a police/security presence all the time - you wouldn't want to be hanging around there alone at night/after dark. I do like the store, and you can get the Safeway app from the Google Play Store. There you can sign up and get the sale paper as well as specialized digital coupons "Just 4 u". It's well worth it. An example: Today I spent $130.52. After sales prices and digital coupons, my total was $85.60; $44.92 in savings - that's 35%! That, I love!!
This Safeway is the nastiest grocery store I’ve ever been in. I don’t think I’ve ever been in this location before, but I ran into grab some cereal and realized I had to use the restroom quickly before I got back on the road. The pictures speak for themselves. The seats and gross and the smell was putrid. I couldn’t even use the restroom here.
HORRIBLE nightmare!!!!!!! Do not go to this grocery store guys, reading everybody reviews they are not lieing. Store is horrible, Cashiers are rude they on only there for a check not interested into serving the business. The BAKERY employees are rude!!!!!!!!! Management takes forever to respond to issues. Most customers that support this business are most likely customers that brought items before and are rude. Had TWO bad experiences each where I just needed to get a few things because I live in Columbia MD. I will drive now 22 mins to another grocery store and shop there. Please don't waste or spend your money. We work very hard and should not be treated in this mannor!!!! Each time I went was a disaster itself. They need the owner of SAFEWAY to come and take a look at this madness. Guys stay away.
There were no baskets as I entered the store. The carts are all the way at the end of the entryway and not close to the door. Many shelves were completely empty which was quite surprising. As the customers who needed help but the cashier kept talking to her friend. While yet another cashier stood with no one in line and did not bother to ask customers to come down toward her Lane. The store continues to not on its neighbors and customers.
The front desk and check out clerks are very unpleasant and unprofessional. The self checkout doesn't work properly so you are forced to interact with them. Items are hard to find and placed in odd places at times. The produce and meat selection is pretty good. The meat department staff is excellent. They are the only ones keeping me from rating this store one star.
