I went with them because I was told that they had quality mechanics. Even when I found out that they charge an outrageously high inspection fee (just for looking at the car), I decided to go with them for piece of mind. Big mistake! I will never have my car serviced by them again. I will tell all of my friends about my experiences with them and hopefully they will take their business else where. From looking at the latest reviews, you can see that there are a lot more people complaining about them. They are not trustworthy and charge outrageous fees on parts and service. I would avoid them at all cost otherwise you will just end up taking your car to the dealership to fix the problems that they cause.
These people are incompetent. I decided to go with this company because of its high rating on Yelp. I now regret it. I left my car with them for a 60k inspection. They said they found nothing wrong with my car. I just took my car into the dealership today because of some nosies I was hearing and they offered to do a free inspection. They found a ton of issues with my car that these guys completely missed. In addition, the fix that they did to my air conditioner was not an actual fix and caused extensive damage to my condenser. In addition to paying these guys over 1000 dollars, I now have to pay 3000 dollars for either stuff that they missed or damage that they could have caused.
We've been customers of BA for almost 30 years and they have never steered (no pun!) us wrong. They have always been up front with us regarding repairs or things to watch out for down the road. Recently, they went above and beyond to find a transmission for my old Honda. Always dependable and up front with costs. Highly recommend!
I have a 2013 smart and have been taking my car here since I bought it last year. I love this place. The staff behind the desk is great, the technicians are awesome and Tom is amazing (the guy has some great stories!). I highly recommend this place!
I have had all my cars, even one rental, serviced by BA for over 20 years. I am an engineer and a car builder myself and I know I can trust them to do a thorough and honest job. They have skillfully handled very complicated jobs on European and Asian luxury cars and Asian economy cars for me with tasks ranging from rear suspension replacement, windshield replacement and electric seat rebuild to routine brake and tuning jobs. They are always ready and able to talk to me in detail about any work they recommend. They are ready when I arrive and keep me posted during the day if I have to leave the car. When I do have to leave the car there for a few hours, their free shuttle service is a terrific convenience. These guys have never let me down.
Good luck finding any Auto care facility and staff that cares about the customer and their vehicles as much as British American Auto does. After approximately seven or eight visits I'm still happy to say they are consistent with their professionalism and dedication from the time you walk in until the time you leave with your vehicle. The absolute best staff and service I've ever experienced. Thank you.
